Chapter 1
Growing Up with Dogs, and a Doraemon Film
My family kept several dogs when I was small. I grew up with dogs by my side, and having them around always felt normal.
Around then I watched Doraemon: Nobita in the Wan-Nyan Spacetime Odyssey (大雄的猫狗时空传) — the film where the dogs and cats grow wise and build a world of their own. For years I imagined our dogs could talk with me and come on adventures, and how happy we'd both be.
That small memory has stayed with me ever since.

Chapter 2
Where the Name Comes From
二郎
Jiro is our dog. We named him in secondary school after Erlang Shen (二郎神), the mighty god from Chinese legend, because we wanted a truly impressive dog. A little cheesy, we know.
の家
means "home" — a warm corner of the world where every pet can simply be happy, and never has to worry about being bullied.
Later, two long-haired dachshunds joined the family — so now there are three of them at the shop:

Chapter 3
Why It Feels a Little Japanese
匠
We look up to shokunin (職人) — the Japanese spirit of craftsmanship. It means doing the small things properly, every time: noticing the details, never cutting corners, and being able to stand behind our work.
We won't pretend we've mastered it. But it's the standard we hold ourselves to — in every bath, every trim and every night a pet spends with us — and we keep working to get better.
Chapter 4
What We're Working Towards
We won't claim we love animals more than anyone else, or that we've given them more than others have.
But if one day we're able to, we'd love to build a real place like the one in that film — a world where dogs and cats are happy and free of worry.
